GAET is the only unit of the Ministry of National Defence licensed to provide training, intern exchange and labour export. This work has been carried out by the Vocational Training and Labour Export Company since 2004.

Markets
The company currently has partners in markets such as Japan, Taiwan and Poland. Since 2006 it has placed workers in Taiwan, Libya, Malaysia, the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia and Bulgaria; between 2010 and 2019 nearly 1,000 workers went abroad each year.
