On the afternoon of December 5, Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army and Head of the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024, visited and worked at the Chemical Corps, surveying some of the unit's products expected to be displayed at the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024.
Speaking at the meeting, Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan requested the units participating in displaying products at the Exhibition, including the Chemical Corps, to do a good job of preparing and selecting outstanding products with high scientific content to introduce quality products of the Vietnamese defense industry to the world.
The products on display must demonstrate the development achievements of the defense industry, thereby showing Vietnam's defense strength, promoting international integration and defense cooperation between Vietnam and other countries.


On this occasion, Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan and members of the delegation visited a number of products expected to be displayed at the Exhibition, researched and manufactured by the Chemical Corps.
Major General Ha Van Cu, Commander of the Chemical Corps, said that participating in the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024, the Chemical Corps is expected to display 25 specialized products researched and produced by the Corps at indoor and outdoor booths. These are new equipment serving the Corps' professional work.

Participating in the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2022, the Chemical Corps directed the 86th Brigade to closely coordinate with agencies and units to ensure good combat readiness and security throughout the exhibition. At the same time, the Chemical Corps coordinated with agencies and units in the Ministry of National Defense to display 18 products researched and produced by the Corps, including 12 products displayed at indoor booths and 6 products displayed at outdoor booths. The Chemical Corps' booths at the 2022 Exhibition welcomed nearly 24,000 domestic and foreign visitors.
Following the success of the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2022, while aiming to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, the Chemical Corps has coordinated with the General Department of Defense Industry and agencies and units to actively prepare to participate in the exhibition at the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024. Up to now, the Chemical Corps has proactively organized and reviewed, preserved, and inspected the operation of equipment to be ready for the exhibition when the Ministry of National Defense has a deployment plan.

At the meeting, the representative of the General Department of Defense Industry affirmed that, implementing the direction of the head of the Ministry of Defense and the Organizing Committee, the participating units will introduce at the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 the newest, most modern and typical products of the Vietnamese defense industry. The 2024 exhibition will expand the number of participating units introducing products and increase the number of displayed products, arranged in separate areas with designs that highlight the products as well as introduce the features of the displayed products...
In addition to the working program related to the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024, Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan also worked with the Chemical Corps on overcoming the consequences of toxic chemicals remaining after the war. The Commander of the Chemical Corps reported on some of the unit's outstanding results in this work in 2023.
