On the morning of January 26, in Hanoi, the Ministry of National Defense held a meeting with press agencies to inform about defense foreign affairs activities and the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024.
Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien - Deputy Minister of National Defense - expressed his gratitude to domestic and foreign news agencies and newspapers for always accompanying, propagating and widely spreading the activities and achievements of the Vietnam People's Army, contributing to enhancing the position and prestige of the Vietnam People's Army in recent years.
He shared that whether in deep forests or high mountains or on the sea and island borders, there are always footprints of journalists and they accept hardships "like a soldier".
In 2024, many important events will take place for the country and the Vietnam People's Army.
In particular, the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense will organize the second Vietnam International Defense Exhibition, scheduled to take place in December 2024.
The Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 is chaired and organized by the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense to share achievements and experiences in research, production, exploitation and use of weapons and technical equipment and promote cooperation in the defense industry among countries participating in the exhibition.
The exhibition is expected to take place from December 19 to December 22 at Gia Lam Airport (Hanoi), bringing together about 140 high-ranking international delegations including ministers, deputy ministers, and commanders of defense and security forces of various countries.
Within the framework of the exhibition, many outstanding activities took place, including displaying and introducing products, technologies and outstanding solutions on defense and security to the armed forces of Vietnam and countries in the region.
Especially the performance of fighter planes and special forces to serve guests and visitors.
Fields of display at the exhibition
- Air defense and air force systems and equipment: fighter jets, helicopters, drones, artillery systems, air defense missiles...
- Naval systems and equipment: submarines, warships, unmanned ships, support ships, reconnaissance and underwater observation equipment, torpedoes, mines, surface-to-sea missiles, sea-to-sea missiles.
- Army systems and equipment: infantry weapons, fire weapons, self-propelled artillery, ground artillery, tanks, armored vehicles...
- Security systems and equipment: biometrics, anti-terrorism and internal state security systems, cyber security crime prevention systems, lethal weapons.
