This is the second time the Ministry of National Defense has organized the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition. The first Vietnam International Defense Exhibition was organized by the Ministry of National Defense in 2022.

This exhibition is held at Gia Lam airport (Hanoi). According to information from the Organizing Committee, this exhibition has the theme "Peace, friendship, cooperation and development". The exhibition will also be held on a larger scale than the first time, with many rich and attractive activities. In addition to booths displaying defense products researched and produced by domestic and foreign defense enterprises, the Organizing Committee also conducts many seminars and talks; at the same time, there will be performances of unique cultural performances imbued with the traditional culture of the Vietnamese people.
The Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 is not only an opportunity for the Ministry of National Defense to introduce new defense products researched and produced by domestic defense enterprises; but also a form of promoting defense cooperation, sharing, receiving and transferring technology; expanding investment cooperation in the defense industry with countries and international partners. This is also one of many practical activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944/ December 22, 2024), 35 years of National Defense Day (December 22, 1989/ December 22, 2024).
