“Union Meal” is a practical activity implemented by the General Economic and Technical Corporation of Defense Industry (GAET) Trade Union on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024). The program takes place in August to continue to affirm the responsibility of the Trade Union organization in caring for and protecting the rights of union members and workers.

Attending the program were Colonel Phan Chien Thang - General Director of the Corporation, comrades in the Board of Directors of the Corporation; Lieutenant Colonel Dang Dinh Ngoc - Chairman of the Trade Union of the Corporation, together with the Controllers, leaders, commanders of agencies, units, union members and workers.
The "Union Meal" program is a meaningful activity launched by the National Defense Trade Union Committee, organized and implemented promptly and effectively by the General Corporation's grassroots Trade Union in coordination with the leaders and commanders on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024). Throughout the 95-year journey, the Vietnam Trade Union has always been a pioneer, accompanying the working class, joining hands to build and develop the country. The "Union Meal" program is an opportunity for the GAET Corporation's Board of Directors and Commanders to meet union members and workers, creating an atmosphere of democracy, solidarity, and understanding, thereby building trust and attachment of workers to the agency and unit. Moreover, this is also an opportunity for union members and workers to enjoy lunch in a friendly atmosphere, chat, reduce stress after work... strengthen solidarity, contribute, and devote their strength and intelligence to the cause of building and developing the Corporation.
After a short time of implementation, "Union Meal" has received the attention of departmental unions, member unions, grassroots unions, leaders of agencies and units, and positive feedback and acceptance from union members and workers. Thereby, we can see the role and responsibility of the Union organization in caring and taking better care of union members and workers.
The “Union Meal” program was held in August with over 1,600 union members from 05 grassroots unions throughout the Corporation. The “Union Meal” is more special and has double the value compared to normal days, worth 100,000 VND/meal. Thanks to that, the dishes are also more diverse, rich and of better quality./.
