On the morning of January 24, in Hanoi, the GAET Corporation's grassroots trade union launched the emulation movements for 2024. Colonel Phan Chien Thang, member of the Party Committee of the General Department of Defense Industry, General Director of the Corporation and Colonel Tran Manh Hung, Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Corporation attended and directed the launching ceremony.
The Army Trade Union emulation movement with the theme "Innovation, creativity - Strengthening strength, cultivating virtue - Improving intelligence, practicing profession - Strong, developing, worthy of Uncle Ho's soldiers" launched by the 10th Army Trade Union Congress (2023 - 2028) implements "Two concentrations, three innovations, four creativity" to continue improving the quality and effectiveness of the workers' movement and Trade Union activities in the Army.
The Corporation's grassroots trade union has specified the emulation theme with the specific nature, the situation and tasks of the unit and emulation movements such as: "Good workers, creative workers"; emulation movement "Green - Clean - Beautiful - Scientific and energy saving"; "Workers' Month" activities and "Occupational Safety and Hygiene" action month; "Union Shelter - Teamwork" program...; strive for 100% of departmental trade unions and member grassroots trade unions to have topics, initiatives, ideas and solutions that are effectively applied in production and business labor and improve the quality and efficiency of advisory work, contributing to increasing income, improving working conditions and quality of life for union officials, members and workers. Promote emulation to overcome difficulties; constantly improve qualifications, train mettle, innovate working methods, be flexible and creative in solving assigned tasks.
Lieutenant Colonel Dang Dinh Ngoc, Chairman of the General Corporation's Trade Union, Deputy Head of Politics launched the emulation movement in 2024.
Effectively organize activities to care for the interests and welfare of workers, civil servants, and laborers, promptly support workers, civil servants, and laborers in difficult circumstances; effectively coordinate the implementation of dialogue activities, collective labor agreements, and activities to care for the material and spiritual lives of union members and laborers, for the practical benefits of union members and laborers. In the immediate future, focus on mobilizing resources to organize support and care for union members and laborers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024 in a joyful, exciting, healthy, safe, and economical spirit with the goal of "All for union members and laborers".
Representatives of departmental trade union organizations and member grassroots trade unions spoke in response to the emulation movement launched by the Corporation's grassroots trade union.
Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Tran Manh Hung praised and highly appreciated the outstanding achievements of the General Corporation's grassroots trade union organization in the past time, always closely following the practical situation and key political tasks of the unit to proactively advise and propose policies and measures to successfully complete the assigned plan targets; at the same time, the General Corporation's grassroots trade union has performed well its role as a representative in taking care of the material and spiritual life and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers. In recent years, the Party Committee and the General Corporation's command have also paid special attention to taking care of the lives, jobs, and improving the income of union members with the average income of workers in 2023 reaching 14.5 million VND/person/month (an increase of nearly 13% compared to 2022).
Colonel Tran Manh Hung requested that in the coming time, the General Corporation's grassroots trade union should regularly innovate the content, form, and emulation measures and always closely follow the political tasks of the unit, bringing the emulation movement into the lives of workers. Along with that, doing a good job of discovering, fostering, building and replicating advanced models in each agency and unit to create a positive spread. Promoting collective strength, making the highest political determination with the motto: "Ensuring principles; handling debts, financial safety; improving production and business efficiency", striving for revenue of 6,600 billion VND, average income of 14.8 million VND/person/month...
Also at the ceremony, the Corporation's grassroots trade union launched a peak emulation campaign "75 days of exemplary action" to win 3 first prizes in order to promote the strength of solidarity and creativity of the staff and union members to compete for the highest achievements in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the National Defense Trade Union's Traditional Day (March 6, 1949 - March 6, 2024); encourage and motivate staff and union members to actively participate in emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Party, State, Army and the unit, striving to excellently complete all tasks./.
