On May 28, 2024, the Labor Training and Import-Export Company solemnly organized the "20TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE TRADITION OF VOCATIONAL TRAINING AND LABOR IMPORT-EXPORT COMPANY" (June 2, 2004 - June 2, 2024). Attending the ceremony were Major General Nguyen Dac Hai, former Deputy Director of the General Department of Defense Industry, former Chairman of the Board of Directors, former General Director of GAET Corporation; Colonel Phan Thi Hoai Van - Deputy Chief of Staff of the General Department of Defense Industry; Colonel Phan Chien Thang Dang - Member of the General Department of Defense Industry/ Secretary of the Party Committee/ General Director of GAET Corporation; comrades of the Board of Directors of the Corporation; former leaders of the Corporation and former leaders of the Labor Training and Import-Export Company through the periods; Leaders and commanders of agencies and member units in the Corporation, along with leaders, departments, offices, and centers of the Company.
The Labor Export and Import Company, formerly the Labor Export and Import Center, was established on June 2, 2004 under Decision No. 933/QD-CTVT of the Director of the National Defense Materials Company with the main function of labor export and vocational training.
Since its inception, the facilities have been limited, and the staff of 10 people has mostly no experience in the field of labor export. Along with the development of the labor export industry nationwide in general and the Corporation in particular, the Company has gradually grown and developed over the years.
Overcoming initial difficulties, the unit has confidently stood firm in the fiercely competitive environment of many labor export enterprises nationwide. In the years 2006-2007, the Center was always proactive in expanding markets such as Taiwan, Libya, Malaysia, UAE, Qatar, Arap Xeut and began to bring workers to the European market in Slovakia, Bulgaria, especially with the development trend of the labor supply market, in 2010 the Company promoted and opened the market to supply Trainees to Japan, although initially only a few workers were able to access this market, it was an opportunity to open a new development trend for the Company. In the period from 2010-2019, with many foreign orders, with the abundant domestic labor force at that time, the company sent nearly 1,000 workers abroad every year.
As a military enterprise operating in the field of social services, the Company always adheres to the policies of the Party and the State on poverty reduction, social security, military rear work, etc. Actively and proactively finding and creating jobs and stable income for employees.
The past 20 years are not a long time compared to the tradition of the Corporation, but the Vocational Training and Labor Import-Export Company has experienced many ups and downs, difficulties are always hidden because the field of labor export and vocational training has many fluctuations in the labor supply and demand market and domestic training needs, especially fierce competition between labor supply areas in East Asian countries. On the past development path, the collective of employees in the company has always received close attention from the leaders of the Corporation, the support of the General Departments, the Corporation, units inside and outside the Army, and the authorities at all levels where the company has relations to recruit and train workers. Regardless of the circumstances, the collective of employees in the company is always highly united, promoting the tradition of over 60 years of the Corporation, being confident, self-reliant, proactive and creative, overcoming all difficulties and hardships, knowing how to correctly assess and evaluate the situation to overcome difficulties and strive to complete the tasks assigned by the Corporation, sending nearly 20,000 workers to work and study abroad in many countries and territories around the world, training nearly 30,000 students with good skills and foreign languages to start a business, contributing to building a strong Corporation and the work of vocational training and labor export nationwide to become increasingly high quality and effective.
With the results achieved in 20 years of growth and development, the company has been honored by the CNQP Economic and Technical Corporation to continuously award the title of excellent labor collective, advanced labor collective, certificates of merit, certificates of merit, emulation fighters for collectives and individuals. In 2013, the Labor Export Association praised the achievements of the top enterprises implementing the COC code of conduct and sending over 1,000 workers abroad. In 2013, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020, the Vocational Training and Labor Export Company was awarded the title of excellent labor collective by the superiors, and the Party Committee was awarded a certificate of merit by the Corporation for its outstanding performance of the tasks assigned by the Corporation. This demonstrates the deep concern of the leaders of the Corporation, the Party Committee of the Corporation, and local authorities for the company in the fields of vocational training and labor export.

In the coming time, the political and economic situation of the countries and regions receiving Vietnamese workers will continue to have many complicated developments. It is predicted that the economic recession will still affect the field of labor export and vocational training, causing many difficulties for the company on the path of development. However, no matter how difficult it is, the company's employees always uphold the spirit of creativity, solidarity and unity, regardless of hardship, to firmly carry out the work of high social significance, which is to focus on investing in a Center for training human resources to improve the quality of training skilled workers, with good discipline and industrial style to go to high-income markets and countries with demand for receiving highly skilled workers. Continue to expand the supply of labor to other countries in addition to the traditional partners the company has; Prepare the best facilities to participate in Government projects to send Vietnamese people to work in countries such as Germany, Japan, and Korea to create more jobs for workers through labor export and job introduction training, strive to build a company that maintains the GAET brand in the field of labor export and vocational training in the country as well as with international partners, contributing to the development of the Company in harmony with the development of the Corporation.
After 20 years of construction and development, the Labor Export and Import Company has increasingly affirmed its role and position in the field of vocational training and labor export. The achievements of the unit in recent years have had valuable contributions and profound lessons learned from generations of leaders, officers and employees through the periods. The Party Committee, the Company's command and all officers and employees currently working here express their deep gratitude and appreciation to the former leaders and all officers and employees of the Company who have contributed to the glorious tradition over 20 years of construction and development so that the Labor Export and Import Company has the position and prestige it has today.
