CNQP&KT - In Hanoi, the Defense Industry Economic and Technical Corporation (GAET) under the General Department of Defense Industry recently held a conference to review the tasks of 2023 and set out the direction and tasks of 2024.
According to information at the Conference, in 2023, GAET Corporation will comprehensively deploy and successfully complete assigned tasks. Notably, the Corporation will complete the Restructuring Project to innovate and improve operational efficiency; ensure quality and safety in production and business, and successfully complete assigned planning targets.
The Corporation has focused its resources on maintaining stability in the two important areas of military trade and industrial explosives (IUX). In 2023, the Corporation signed 25 new military trade contracts, implemented over 80 signed contracts and liquidated 24 contracts with investors; participated in a number of defense and security exhibitions in the Russian Federation, Belarus, Brazil and the Vietnam - Cambodia Economic - Defense Products Exhibition Fair 2023 in Cambodia. IUX business continued to be effective, with industrial explosives sales reaching over 45,000 tons and revenue of over VND 2,800 billion. The Corporation's total revenue reached over VND 6,460 billion, with average income per employee reaching VND 14.5 million/person/month (an increase of nearly 13% compared to 2022).
In 2024, the Corporation will focus on comprehensively implementing its tasks with the motto: "Ensuring principles; handling debts, financial safety; improving production and business efficiency", striving for revenue of 6,600 billion VND, average income of 14.8 million VND/person/month...
At the Conference, the Corporation launched the emulation movement "Determined to Win" in 2024 with the theme "Solidarity, exemplary, disciplined, proactive, resolute, creative, Determined to Win"; agencies and units in the Corporation also signed an emulation covenant determined to strive to excellently complete assigned political tasks.
