On the morning of January 12, in Hanoi, the General Corporation for Defense Economic and Technical Engineering (GAET) held a Conference to review the tasks of 2023 and deploy the tasks of 2024. Colonel Phan Chien Thang, General Director of the Corporation chaired the Conference.
The conference assessed that in 2023, the Corporation had comprehensively deployed all aspects of work and successfully completed the assigned tasks. Notably, advising the General Department of Defense Industry in developing the Strategy for developing activities of Industrial Explosives and Explosive Precursors to 2023 and the following years. Building the organization and force, completing the Project to restructure the Corporation to innovate and improve the unit's operational efficiency; organizing production and business to ensure quality, safety and successfully completing the assigned planning targets; especially the average income increased by 12.95% compared to 2022. Focusing on implementing key military trade projects of the Ministry of National Defense, the General Department of Defense Industry, promoting the export of defense and economic goods. Actively expand cooperation and international integration, especially doing well the task of participating in the International Military Technical Forum ARMY-2023 in the Russian Federation and the Vietnam - Cambodia Economic - Defense Products Exhibition 2023. Industrial explosives business activities develop stably; providing materials for factories in the General Department of Defense Industry ensures safety and efficiency. Production of defense products, mine clearance and other commercial business activities continue to be maintained stably. CTĐ-CTCT activities are deployed comprehensively and systematically, contributing to building a stable unit.
Colonel Tran Manh Hung, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Corporation, thoroughly grasped the Resolution on implementing tasks in 2024.
Concluding the Conference, Colonel Phan Chien Thang affirmed: in 2023, the Party Committee of the Corporation, the Party Committees and commanders of agencies and units will always uphold the principles, lead and direct the entire unit to be united, unified, and unanimous, proactively overcome difficulties, determined to strive, and successfully complete all assigned tasks. Regarding the direction and tasks for 2024, he requested Party Committees and commanders at all levels in the entire unit to focus on leading and directing the implementation of key political tasks, effectively implementing the Resolution of the Party Committee of the Corporation on leadership and implementation of tasks in 2024, focusing on breakthroughs in leading the entire unit "Ensuring principles; handling debts, financial safety, improving production and business efficiency, and increasing income for workers". Synchronously and effectively deploy tasks and solutions to build a strong Party Committee of the Corporation in terms of politics, ideology, ethics, organization and cadres.
Also at the Conference, the leaders and commanders of the Corporation awarded collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in 2023. Colonel Tran Manh Hung, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Corporation, launched the Emulation movement to win in 2024 with the theme "Solidarity, exemplary, disciplined, proactive, resolute, creative, Determined to win". Accordingly, agencies and units in the entire Corporation signed a commitment to emulate and strive to excellently complete assigned political tasks./.
