CNQP&KT – That was the direction of Major General Nguyen Viet Hung, Standing Member of the Party Committee, Deputy Political Commissar of the General Department of Defense Industry at the Conference of Labor Delegates and Democratic Dialogue of the General Corporation of Defense Industry Economics and Technology (GAET), held on the afternoon of March 29.
Attending the conference were representatives of a number of functional agencies of the General Department of Defense Industry (GDDI); leaders and commanders of GAET Corporation and its member units.
The central report at the conference stated: In 2023, GAET Corporation performed well in production, business, import-export, and procurement of weapons and equipment for national defense missions. All business targets were completed and exceeded the set plan, of which revenue reached 5,670 billion VND; added value reached 360 billion VND; average income per employee reached over 15 million VND/person/month.
Regarding the 2024 mission direction, GAET Corporation focuses on implementing well the procurement work, ensuring techniques and technology for defense production; maintaining traditional industrial explosives consumption markets; expanding cooperation with many partners in technology transfer, supplying raw materials for production and exporting products. At the same time, improving the production and business capacity of member units; promoting bomb and mine clearance services... Striving for revenue value of 6,600 billion VND; profit of 58.5 billion VND; average income of workers of 16.5 million VND/person/month...
At the conference, delegates participated in democratic dialogue, discussed and contributed ideas on the direction and solutions for implementing the tasks of the Corporation in the coming time. At the same time, representatives of the General Department's functional agencies and leaders and commanders of the Corporation answered questions about investment in construction and renovation of offices; salary regime; criteria for selection, recruitment of input cadres and transfer of officers, professional soldiers, defense officials; mechanism for exporting industrial explosives, etc.
Representatives of the leaders and commanders of GAET Corporation presented flowers to congratulate the Dialogue Group and the People's Inspectorate of the Corporation for the 2024-2026 term.
Speaking at the conference, Major General Nguyen Viet Hung acknowledged and commended the results achieved by GAET Corporation in 2023. The Deputy Commissar of the General Department requested that in the coming time, the Corporation needs to resolutely and synchronously deploy solutions, especially promoting digital transformation in management and operation; building corporate culture and a professional management system; training, fostering, and attracting high-quality human resources; expanding cooperation with domestic and foreign partners in technology transfer and product export.
