(PetroTimes) - On September 13, 2023, on behalf of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Petroleum Association (VPA), Chairman Nguyen Quoc Thap signed and issued the Resolution of the 2nd meeting of the Executive Committee of the VPA, term IV.
The resolution stated that on September 10, 2023, the Executive Committee (EC) of the Vietnam Association of Fisheries held the second meeting of the 4th term (2022-2027). After an urgent, responsible and effective working session, the Conference completed the entire program content.
The Conference listened to Senior Lieutenant General Vo Tan Trung talk about the situation of the sea and islands with a lot of current information, challenges, opportunities, and demands for our responsibility to the country in general and the Oil and Gas industry in particular; Ms. Kieu Kim Thuy - Deputy Head of the Economic - Investment Department of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group informed about the production and business results in the first 8 months of 2023, the medium and long-term strategy of the Group; Mr. Nguyen Hung Dung - Vice Chairman and General Secretary on behalf of the Standing Committee/Standing Committee (BTV/TT) of the Association presented the Report on the results of work since the beginning of the term and the direction of work tasks for the next year. The conference also heard presentations from the corporations/organizational members of the Vietnam Gas Association, namely PetroVietnam Gas Corporation - Joint Stock Company (PV GAS) and the Defense Industry Economic and Technical Corporation (GAET), which have made many contributions to the production and business results of the Group, the Ministry of Defense and the activities of the Vietnam Gas Association.
The delegates had many opinions, discussed enthusiastically and with quality contributing to the content of the report on work results and the direction of tasks for the next year, suggesting work contents and solutions for implementation, contributing to building the Association to be increasingly strong and developed; contributing effectively and practically to the production and business activities of the Group, corporations/member organizations of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Association.
The conference also heard Mr. Hoang Quoc Vuong - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group summarize the outstanding achievements in production and business, difficulties, challenges, opportunities and solutions to continue affirming the role of the Group in the country's economy. On behalf of the Group's leadership, Mr. Hoang Quoc Vuong congratulated and highly appreciated the work results, recognized the contributions of the Vietnam Petroleum Association to the Group's production and business activities, believed that the Vietnam Petroleum Association will always accompany the Group and affirmed the attention and support of the Group and its member units for the activities of the Vietnam Petroleum Association.
In his reply, Chairman Nguyen Quoc Thap, on behalf of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Association, sincerely thanked Mr. Hoang Quoc Vuong for appreciating the achievements and contributions of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Association to the Group and its member units. At the same time, he thanked the Group and its member units for their support, helping the Association to perform its functions and duties well, contributing to the development of the Oil and Gas industry, the Group and its member units. The conference will receive the Group's Chairman's opinions and suggestions and include them in the work content of the term as well as in the coming time.
After completing the program contents, the Conference voted and unanimously passed the resolution (with 60/60 members agreeing, reaching 100% of members present, 56% of total Executive Committee members):
1. Unanimously approved the Report on the results of work from the beginning of the 4th term up to now, the direction and tasks of the next work that the Standing Committee/General Secretary of the Association submitted to the Executive Committee at the Conference; The Report fully stated all aspects of activities; the results achieved reflected the efforts of the Standing Committee/General Secretary of the Association in organizing and implementing the Resolution of the 4th Congress of the Vietnam Association of DK and the Resolutions of the Executive Committee between the two sessions. The Executive Committee assigned the General Secretary of the Association, based on the comments at the Conference, to complete and issue as a basis for organizing and implementing the tasks in the next year;
2. The Executive Committee of the Vietnam Petroleum Association appreciates and highly appreciates the production and business results; the attention and support of the Group, the Group's Leaders, Member Units, and Leaders of Member Units for the activities of the Vietnam Petroleum Association and hopes to continue to receive attention and support so that the Vietnam Petroleum Association can perform its functions and tasks well, accompany and contribute more to the production and business activities of the Group and its member units/organizational members;
3. The Executive Committee assigns the Central Executive Committee/Committee to specify each work content according to each stage/each Executive Committee/Committee conference and organize implementation in a synchronous, step-by-step, and content-by-content manner; practically and effectively contributing to the production and business results of the Group and its member units/organizational members. In addition, continue to pay attention to organizing association-related activities to strengthen connections, gather and develop members, and link members nationwide;
4. Activities at the Central Association (Standing Committee, Board, Office, Business Club) in leadership, direction, planning and implementation have been done well and need to continue to be promoted; The organizational apparatus at the Central Association has been basically completed; the Association's office facilities have been invested in and upgraded, the online conference system and email boxes are necessary to contribute to the rapid transmission of information and professionalism; In addition, it is necessary to continue to perfect the apparatus, appoint vacant positions (Head of the Organization and Membership Development Committee), further promote the activities of the thematic sub-committees; continue to invest in office equipment to ensure adequate working conditions; at the same time, there are solutions to make the activities in the Central Association apparatus more consistent, the cadres in the apparatus at the Central Association (Standing Committee, Office, Boards, Sub-committees...) spend enough time to ensure the completion of work;
5. Regarding the work of the affiliated Associations, the Central Executive Committee/Community Committee shall pay more attention to directing, facilitating and supporting the implementation of the organization in order to further promote the activities of the affiliated Associations; Regularly work with the affiliated Associations/member organizations to promptly grasp the operational situation, resolve difficulties and obstacles, propose appropriate work contents and targets for the affiliated Associations to organize and implement; the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and Chairmen of the affiliated Associations shall proactively follow the Resolutions and directions of the Central Association, based on the actual situation in each locality and working conditions, and spend appropriate time on the Association's work; enhance interaction and coordination with the members of their organizations to propose appropriate work plans, specific to each content, target, time and implementation solutions; further promote the activities, enhance the role and position of the affiliated Associations;
6. Regarding communication work, it is necessary to regularly pay attention to and promote the propaganda and promotion of the image and production and business activities of the Group, its member units and the Vietnam Petroleum Association on the New Energy Magazine, the PetroTimes electronic magazine and the Association's general electronic information page, as well as interactively link information with other newspapers, radio stations and magazines; Strengthen communication work on the energy and petroleum industry, with many quality articles, diverse in form to attract and interact with readers;
7. To organize and implement the Conference Resolution, complete the contents and work targets set for the next year, the Executive Committee requests that the Executive Committee members uphold their roles and responsibilities, seriously perform the tasks, powers and operating principles of the Executive Committee stated in the Charter;
The Executive Committee assigns the Central Executive Committee and the Central Committee of the Association; the Executive Committees and the Central Committees of the affiliated Associations, based on the functions, tasks and authority specified in the Operating Regulations, to direct the organization and coordinate the implementation.
