On the occasion of welcoming the New Year of the Snake 2025, on the afternoon of January 15, the General Department of Defense Industry's Economic and Technical Corporation held a meeting with former leaders, commanders and retired officers of all periods. At the meeting, on behalf of the Party Committee and the General Corporation, Colonel Phan Chien Thang expressed his deep gratitude to the leaders, commanders and cadres of all periods who have made great contributions and dedication to the construction of GAET Corporation over the past 60 years. Briefly informed the delegates about the results and achievements of the Corporation in 2024 and the direction and tasks for 2025. The General Director affirmed that in 2024, the Party Committee and the General Corporation's command led the entire unit to promote the tradition of the Labor Hero Unit, constantly strive, overcome difficulties, and successfully complete all assigned tasks.

Notably, military trade and defense diplomacy activities continue to expand and develop; industrial explosives business, defense product manufacturing, and commercial business are promoted. In particular, at the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 held from December 19 to 23 in Hanoi, the Corporation successfully fulfilled its role as the trade representative of the Exhibition and was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Minister of National Defense. In 2024, the Corporation's revenue will reach VND 8,400 billion, an increase of 27.3% compared to the annual plan and 30% compared to 2023; profit will reach VND 69 billion, an increase of 10.3% compared to 2023; average income will reach over VND 16.7 million/person/month, an increase of 12.3% compared to 2023.
In 2025, the Corporation is determined to promote the spirit of innovation, focusing on breakthroughs in "Corporate governance - Upholding principles - Research and development - Debt settlement - Safety and efficiency"; striving for a growth rate of 8% or more than the annual plan. Focus on building a strong unit in terms of politics, organization, force and military work; proactively arrange and consolidate the organizational apparatus according to the Prime Minister's Project 66 on restructuring military enterprises, period 2021 - 2025; actively implement digital transformation, administrative reform... Carry out well the ideological work, policy work; personnel for party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term.
Colonel Phan Chien Thang expressed his hope that the retired cadres with their bravery, intelligence, experience, responsibility and enthusiasm will always care, encourage, follow and stand side by side with the Corporation to excellently complete all tasks that the Party, State, Army and General Department of Defense Industry trust and entrust, determined to build GAET Corporation to develop more and more strongly.
At the meeting, the leaders and commanders of the Corporation through the periods expressed their joy and congratulated the achievements of GAET in 2024.
