On July 12, in Hanoi, the Defense Industry Economic and Technical Corporation (GAET) held the opening ceremony of the Good Car, Good Driver Contest 2023.
The competition took place from July 12 to July 25 with the participation of 42 drivers and 68 vehicles of various types (including command vehicles, trucks, pickup trucks) from the office block of GAET Corporation and its affiliated units. These drivers and vehicles were selected through grassroots competitions.
The contest consists of two contents: good car competition and good driving competition. In which, the good car competition is held in all three regions of North - Central - South with 3 categories: command vehicle, pickup truck, truck; the content includes the examination of books and documents according to the vehicle; synchronization and technical condition of the vehicle; vehicle preservation and maintenance. The good driving competition is held at the National Defense Industry College (CNQP) with three categories: driving a car, medium-sized truck and light-sized truck; including two contents: theoretical examination of the Road Traffic Law, road sign system, industry expertise; practical driving test in limited-size conditions.
According to the Organizing Committee, the competition is an opportunity to evaluate the results of technical training, professional skills and management, exploitation and use of vehicle and motorbike equipment of the driving team. Thereby, improving the quality of vehicles, professional qualifications and sense of duty of the driving team and repairmen, contributing to the successful completion of the unit's tasks. At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee will select qualified drivers and vehicles for the General Department of Defense Industry's team to participate in the 2023 Army-wide Good Vehicle, Good Driver Competition.
