CNQP&KT - On the morning of April 27, in Hanoi, the Defense Industry Economic and Technical Corporation (GAET) organized the Conference of Labor Delegates and Democratic Dialogue in 2023.
Major General Nguyen Viet Hung, Standing Member of the Party Committee, Deputy Political Commissar of the General Department of Defense Industry (GDDI), attended and directed the conference. Also attending were representatives of a number of functional agencies of the GDDI.
Reporting on the production and business results in 2022 and the direction for implementing the tasks in 2023 of GAET Corporation, Colonel Phan Chien Thang, General Director of the Corporation, stated: In 2022, the Corporation proactively overcame all difficulties and comprehensively implemented assigned political tasks. Outstanding in military trade work, closely coordinated with investors, partners, and customers to search for, create, and establish new contracts; participated in coordinating the organization of the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2022. Business activities of industrial explosives and explosive precursors developed steadily; construction of projects and contracts for surveying and clearing mines ensured the correct order and absolute safety; continue to search for and expand vocational training and labor export markets... Thanks to that, the Corporation has exceeded the set plan, in which revenue reached 6,600 billion VND (up 53% compared to 2021); added value reached 373 billion VND (up 22.7% compared to 2021); average income was nearly 13 million VND/person/month.
In 2023, GAET Corporation will focus on exploiting infrastructure and production lines, promoting production and business; improving the quality and efficiency of corporate governance; ensuring good jobs, improving the lives and incomes of workers; striving to exceed the set plan targets.
Speaking at the conference, Major General Nguyen Viet Hung emphasized: In 2022, despite many difficulties and challenges, the officers, employees and workers of GAET Corporation have promoted their sense of responsibility and achieved positive results in performing their tasks. In the coming time, the Corporation needs to promote corporate governance; strengthen trade promotion, expand domestic and foreign markets... The Deputy Commissar of the General Department requested GAET to strictly maintain the order and living regime, regularly organize substantive and effective democratic dialogues; officers and employees participate in giving advice to promptly remove difficulties for the unit, especially the contents of mechanisms and policies in management, production and business organization; attracting high-quality human resources; regimes, policies, and jobs for workers...
Delegates attending the conference conducted democratic dialogue, proposed solutions to successfully complete the core tasks of the Corporation; listened to representatives of the General Department's functional agencies and leaders and commanders of the Corporation answer recommendations, problems and some related contents.
